Quite a few days ago, on October 18, a penguin egg was found lying around near the Queen Charlotte Yacht Club and brought at the Picton aquarium, New Zealand.

One of EcoWorld's staff members, Kishan Kirkwood, decided that if the penguin egg was to have any chances of survival, it needed to be looked after by a hatching expert.

Thus, Kishan took the egg back at his place and placed it under the rear end of its pet pigeon, which surprisingly agreed to sit on it and keep it warm.

Three days later, the penguin decided that the time had come for it to get out of its shell, and stepped out to meet its adoptive mother.

However, the latter got a tad confused once becoming acquainted to its new son.

“The pigeon kept sitting up and looking at the penguin, sitting down again, sitting up looking at it wondering what the [expletive],” Kishan told members of the press.

The baby penguin, now named Rambo, will be allowed to live at the aquarium until it grows big enough to be released into its natural habitat.
