14 DAY TRIAL // Charlotte Emily, the daughter of actor Pierce Brosnan, has died. She was 41 years old and had been battling ovarian cancer for 3 years, the actor says in a very touching statement to People magazine.
Charlotte was the daughter of Cassandra Harris, Brosnan’s first wife, from a previous relationship. The actor adopted her and her brother when they married.
“Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl,” the star says.
“We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences,” he adds in the same statement to People magazine.
Charlotte’s mother, Cassandra, also died of ovarian cancer at around the same age. She was 43 when she lost the battle with the terrible disease, which had also claimed her mother before her.
