14 DAY TRIAL // Musician Jake Heggie has taken bits of stories from 9-11 survivors and combined them into a single tune. Heggie is a composer and a pianist and he is dedicating his new album to the terror survivors.
The announcement comes shortly before this year's 9-11 anniversary. According to Star Media, singers will document the stories supplied by the men and women interviewed for the event.
They tell the tale of lost mothers, wives, husbands and fathers. One of the tunes includes a description of the scene by a Texas Task Force 1 firefighter. He remembers trying to get through the rubble and finding mostly lifeless bodies.
Another piece tells a different story, that of a man losing his pregnant wife, who was traveling on United Flight 93. After the plane was hijacked a struggle ensued, with passengers fighting off attackers. The incident ended with the plane crashing in a field in Pennsylvania.
