14 DAY TRIAL // The picture above was taken at the Torrey Pines State Park in California not very long ago and shows that, when it comes to getting a free and easy meal, squirrels pretty much lack all sense of morality.
By the looks of it, the apple this fuzzy creature is now trying to carry to safety used to belong to a woman who did not even leave it lying around.
Quite the contrary: the apple used to be in the handbag featured in the picture, yet for one reason or another the squirrel reached the conclusion that no harm can come out of its exploring the bag and taking the apple with it upon leaving.
“It was so funny how it tried to jump to the next rock, but didn't make it because it was now so heavy and fell to the ground instead, and then dragged off the apple,” photographer Wolfgang Bluhm told the press.
