The polar bear doesn't want people visiting its home in the Svalbard islands

The Svalbard islands in the Arctic Ocean are home to about three thousand polar bears. Tourists often visit these regions, hoping that they might catch a glimpse of the endangered animals.

While cruising in the frozen waters close to the islands, the crew aboard a ship were lucky enough to come closer than they had expected to a polar bear inhabiting these regions, and even snap some really cool pictures of it.

The polar bear, pictured above, approached the ship and leaned against it.

The tourists later explained that it almost looked as if the animal didn't want any people snooping around its home and was desperately trying to push the ship out of its territory.

Daily Mail says that the polar bear was not yet an adult, and that it most likely came this close to the ship out of sheer curiosity.
