Most of the people visiting the Aquaria Fun Park in Austria cannot help but giggle once they catch a glimpse of this salamander.

In all fairness, few can blame these gigglers: the salamander looks strikingly similar to a pokemon, not to mention the fact that it appears to always be smiling.

As noticeable in the picture above, the animal's body is translucent.

Sources say that Axolotl salamanders are a fairly rare sight, mostly because pollution has taken care of wreaking havoc on their natural habitats in Mexico.

As well as this, some people regard it as a culinary delicacy, and do not shy away from tracking down, catching, and eating them.

Interestingly enough, such salamanders are well known amongst wildlife researchers for their being extraordinarily gifted at regenerating not just their limbs, but also their internal organs and parts of their brain.
