The penguins were spotted in South Georgia in the South Atlantic

Not long ago, 64-year-old Charles Kinsey from Bristol went on a trip to the British territory of South Georgia in the South Atlantic. Much to his surprise, he discovered an entirely new species of penguins.

These penguins are like nothing you have ever seen before. Long story short, they don't have a head. Just have a look at the picture above if you doubt my words and want proof.

Apart from the fact that they're headless, it looks to me as if these birds also move around like zombies in horror movies do. What I mean is that, the way I see it, they just keep moving their bodies from one side to the other whenever they take a step. Weird, right?

Joking aside, these penguins are not actually headless. They have a head, it's just that it's turned behind their backs because the birds are busy preening themselves.

“At one point, I just happened to be standing very close to the Exodus professional photographer Paul Goldstein when he spotted the two king penguins, about 15 meters away, with their heads behind their backs - almost certainly preening their back feathers.”

“Paul alerted me by just pointing at them and saying ‘Charles, take that now’ They were only like that for a few seconds so I only had the chance of one shot,” 64-year-old Charles Kinsey recollects, as cited by Daily Mail.

I don't know about you, but I for one sure am glad that Charles has managed to take this shot.
