Just when I thought nature couldn't possibly get more awesome, this picture of a gecko half the size of a human thumbnail caught my eye.

The extraordinarily small lizard was discovered by a man in the Philippines. Apparently, it looked so adorable that Corin Lenisco could not help becoming utterly fascinated with it and turning it into its pet.

“My older sister has always been afraid of lizards ever since she was young so every time I see a lizard I try to catch it and scare her.”

“I was just walking around the house when I saw the lizard and I moved to catch it right away. But because it was such a baby lizard I didn't think my sister would be too scared so I decided to keep him as my own,” Corin Lenisco told the press.

Sources explain that the man caught the lizard about a year ago. Since then, it has grown to almost the size of his palm.
