This little tree frog was recently caught on camera at a wildlife sanctuary in Indonesia. Eka Novianto Nugroho, i.e. the photographer who snapped this picture, says that the frog looked as if it were waiving at the camera.

I happen to disagree. I say that the amphibian looks more like it's performing some mind-blowing Shakespearian monologue. Or like it’s singing some very dramatic opera tune.

Sources say these frogs typically measure just a few inches in length, and that they spend most of their lives hiding in trees.

Their disk-like fingers help them navigate their surroundings, and make it possible for them to cling to branches without fear that they might fall.

Some tree frogs can reportedly change the color of their bodies in order to better blend in with their surroundings and thus escape predators.
