Today, Phottix has made available firmware update 1.07 developed for the Mitros+ TTL flashes for Canon digital cameras, which fixes a specific battery issue and resolves a flash head overheat protection problem.

When it comes to downloadable packages, the producer has provided two archives, one compatible with both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 operating systems, and the other targeted at Mac OS X platforms (except for Mavericks).

Therefore, if you intend to benefit from these improvements, first check your currently installed firmware and make sure it isn’t either newer or matching this release.

To do so, save and unzip the appropriate archive, run Phottix Mitros PC Upgrade or Phottix Mitros MAC Upgrade (depends on which OS you have), connect the Mitros+ flash to the computer using a USB cable, and power on the device.

After the TTL flash has been completely recognized, click “Version” icon and compare the displayed “Software Ver:” with the present firmware release.

If all is ok, click the “Software” button, navigate to the newly created folder, select and confirm the “C_Mitros+Firmware1_07.FDS” file, and wait for it to be applied (progress is displayed on the status bar).

Afterwards, click “Icon,” select the “C_Mitros+Icon1_00.FIF” file, wait until the update is installed, and after an “Update Ok” message is displayed, close the wizard and disconnect the TTL flash.

That being said, download Phottix Mitros+ TTL Flash for Canon Firmware 1.07, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your device’s firmware to the latest version.
