Fashion campaigns can be genuine works of art but this is not the case the here. The latest from Joe’s Jeans is getting plenty of media attention for all the wrong reasons, as the photo also attached to this article confirms.

Ever since some of the biggest names in the fashion industry really put their foot in it with poorly airbrushed campaigns, which turned already slender models into inhuman-like creatures, all eyes have been on all of them.

Joe’s Jeans is the latest to commit a huge Photoshop fail, as Photoshop Disasters is the first to point out.

If you look closely at the image, you will notice that there are several things wrong with it: the unnatural position of the arm on the wall, the distorted reflection in the mirror and, last but not least, the model’s thigh.

As Radar Online also notes, the model, Alexandra Tomlinson, is already quite thin, so there was really no need for her to make her even more so, to the point of having her look like an anorexic.

“Already thin model Alexandra Tomlinson was apparently not slender enough for Joe’s Jeans! The 27-year-old, who has modeled for everyone from Dolce & Gabbana to Roberto Cavalli, is featured in the denim brand’s latest ad campaign, where she was seemingly airbrushed to a scary skinny extent,” the celebrity e-zine writes.

Indeed, Alexandra’s thigh is actually smaller than her arm and we all know that this rarely happens in real life in a healthy woman.

The irony is also that the photo is an ad for a line that claims to celebrate female beauty.

“The advertisement was part of an email campaign featuring Joe’s Vintage Reserve 1971 collection, which ironically is ‘a modernization of the decade’s silhouettes with edgy bodies in distressed washes that embody the onstage fashion and rock ‘n’ roll attitude of one of the most influential eras of our time’,” Radar further says.

As noted above, the model’s thigh isn’t the only disturbing thing about the photo, as commenters online also point out: the reflection in the mirror isn’t accurate (she would actually have to stand farther from it), while her arm is twisted in ways only a contortionist could master.
