Photoshop CS6 Receives Update with Critical Fixes

The first update for Adobe Photoshop CS6 is now available for download. It is a recommended update since it includes critical fixes as well as security and performance improvements.

Issues addressed in Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1 update refer to high-priority bugs with 3D, Crop, Type, Painting, Paths, and Shapes.

For convenience and reliability reasons, the developer recommends installing it straight from the suite, under Help menu. However, you can also get it as a separate file and apply it manually.

Adobe’s instructions in this case advise disabling virus protection and make sure that Photoshop’s installation folder is named "Adobe Photoshop CS6"; this is essential because otherwise the updater cannot do its job as it looks for a folder with this exact name.

If the installation folder is not called according to the above indication you have to uninstall Photoshop and then put it back on the system in the default folder name.
