The latest updates from Adobe enable support for the new HiDPI / Retina displays on the 13” and 15” MacBook Pros released this year “for a dramatic improvement in image fidelity and resolution.”

Photoshop 13.0.2 and Illustrator 16.0.3 were made available Monday at 9PM Pacific Time according to Adobe. The updates are applicable to all language versions of CS6.

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.2 requires OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard (64-bit) or OS X 10.7 Lion (64-bit). To install the Photoshop 13.0.1 update, users must disable all virus protection software from their Mac, ensure that the folder containing Photoshop is named “Adobe Photoshop CS6,” double-click the “AdobePatchInstaller” application and follow the on-screen instructions.

“This updater will update only the retail version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 and not any prerelease (beta) versions,” according to Adobe.
