14 DAY TRIAL // A few days ago, word got out online that former Olympian turned much-mediated reality star Bruce Jenner had undergone plastic surgery, having had breast implants put in. The next step, according to the report, was full gender reassignment surgery, which would take place in May or June.
What gave credence to the report was the fact that, at the time it came out, Bruce hadn’t been seen out in public in a very long time. He emerged this weekend for a lonely hike in Malibu, and paparazzi photos snapped from a distance seem to confirm the rumor.
Bruce comes out of hiding, looks different
The photos are available at TMZ: they’re taken from a distance and are somewhat blurry. In addition to that, Bruce seemed determined to discourage photographers from snapping away by covering his head and part of his face with a hoodie, and oversized sunglasses.
That very thing could be confirmation that he’s had breast implants put in, the aforementioned e-zine believes: it was very hot in Malibu this weekend, so this kind of getup would make no sense especially on a hike, unless he was dead-set on hiding something.
That something was probably his new breasts. Bruce was also sporting bright red nail polish, which is visible in a couple of shots. He also seemed to have had some things done to his face, as his lips appeared plumper.
“Bruce has been undergoing hormone therapy for nearly 2 years,” TMZ says, citing unnamed sources. “The hormone therapy, we're told, has run its course, and a month after it ends it's safe to get augmentation surgery.”
The report says Bruce has also been shooting an interview with ABC’s Diana Sawyer, which is “almost completed.” It is expected to air this month and end the years-long speculation on his private life. As of the time of writing, Bruce is yet to officially confirm he’s transitioning from male to female.
Speeding things up
A separate report, this time in Radar Online, claims that Bruce might be coming out sooner than planned, because the news of his breast enhancement surgery leaked in the media.
He is now almost fully recovered from the intervention, but he doesn’t want to wait anymore until he comes out publicly.
In this, he has the support of the entire family, including his Kardashian step-daughters, insiders reveal. They’re convinced that coming out and coming clean would take some of the heat off him.
