HTC EVO 4G is one of the high-end mobile phones expected to taste the latest flavor of Google's mobile OS, namely Android 2.2 Froyo, as soon as next week, but it seems that some lucky users already had the chance to install the platform on their devices. It seems that the first 4G handset in the world is actually enjoying the Froyo update, at least this is what the video and photos that recently emerged into the wild show.

The software version EVO 4G is running under in the video below is 3.25.651.1, which is different from what Sprint is set to push out to users next week, namely version 3.25.651.3, at least this is what the guys over at Android Central note. Even so, the features list this software flavor includes is the same as the one the official update would come with, it seems. The update should come with HTC's Sense solution on top of Android 2.2, while the overall experience is said to be similar with what the device already offered.

Among the main features of the Android 2.2 Froyo update for EVO 4G, we can count: - Ability to share applications - Display events and birthdays from Facebook on Calendar - Use camera LED as flashlight - New user interface for the FM radio - Add unknown users in Facebook as friends in Friend Stream - Photo Gallery supports Facebook comments function - Send contact as vCard using SMS - Addition of MMS slideshow editor - New pre-loaded widgets including Calculator, FM radio, Message list view, Profile settings and Ringtone settings - Camcorder can use camera flash so video can be shot at night or in low light - Flash 10.1 support - Search widget and search bar able to switch to search in different types (web, specific application, or all) - Android Market widget allows installation of applications on SD card

All in all, the update should be able to enhance the user experience HTC EVO 4G can offer, especially with all those new features included into the mix. According to Sprint's recent announcement, the software update would start being delivered to its customers on August 3, with all devices being updated within a matter of weeks.
