Recently, Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been rumored to plan the release of a new handset that would sport a candybar form factor, while boasting both touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard on the front, namely the Nokia E6-00, and some more info on the device emerged.

Still unannounced for the time being, the new mobile phone can be seen in newly leaked photos, as well as in a video that would present some of its features.

According to the leaked info, the new Nokia E6-00 should arrive on shelves with a VGA resolution touchscreen display, and with a version of the Symbian operating system that has been optimized for use on 4:3 display aspect ratio panels.

Moreover, rumor has it that the smartphone might be released with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with dual LED flash, and with a front-facing camera.

The new device would also sport a great resemblance with the popular Nokia E71, at least when it comes to its outer design.

However, we should note that the touchscreen display of this device might not sport the VGA resolution, since it has been spotted not too long ago in OVI Publisher tools as sporting a higher resolution display.

According to that entry, Nokia E6-00 would be set to arrive on the market with a 640 x 480 resolution screen on board, but we can only hope that the new rumor is wrong, especially since most of the latest devices from Nokia sport higher-res displays.

All in all, it appears that the Nokia E6-00 is set to arrive on the market as an appealing device, though it remains to be seen which specific segment of the market the company would target it at.

Until more info on the matter emerges, have a look at the available photos with the device, as well as at the video embedded below, to make a better idea at what it might arrive on shelves with. More photos and videos can be found here (via My Nokia Blog).
