Veteran Mac developer Boinx Software is out with an updated version of PhotoPresenter, one of the company’s mobile apps for iPhone and iPad users.

Boinx Software is feeling a bit generous, so they’ve slashed the price on their photography app to $0. But don’t expect to get the full monty when you download PhotoPresenter 3.0. According to the release notes, the pro-level features have moved into paid territory.

“App is now free with premium features being available as an in-app purchase,” according to the release notes.

Specifically, the Laser Pointer tool is now a paid benefit, but customers who’ve paid big bucks for PhotoPresenter will get to use this feature for free.

Users can now brand an image with a custom logo displayed on the presentation black-out screen, this being another in-app purchase perk. Finally, the 3.0 update enhances the Laser Pointer tool with “a Monty-Pythonesque arm,” according to Boinx Software.
