As if having a bunch of humans name you Tiny were not enough to completely destroy your reputation as the king of the jungle, imagine waking up to find that your mane grew a mind of its own while you were napping.

This is precisely what happened to the feline pictured next to this article not too long ago. To make matters even worse, its moment of shame was caught on camera by a wildlife photographer named Gary Brookshaw.

According to Daily Mail, the photo was taken at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation Big Cat Sanctuary, an animal park in Kent, UK, where this lion currently lives in captivity together with its brothers, Manzi and Kafara.

“It was a miserable wet day and this lion brought a smile to our faces as his normally glorious mane was soaked and flat - he looked completely fed up,” Gary Brookshaw told the press in an interview.

“I was really pleased to get the shot as it was almost the first one of the day and I knew it was a good moment and technically good shot,” the 43-year-old wildlife photographer went on to explain.

This lion was named Tiny due to the fact that, when it was still a cub, it experienced some stomach trouble and kept regurgitating its food. Vets eventually managed to fix its digestive tract, and the lion is now in perfectly good health.
