Place weapon in hero’s hand, add sparks, clouds and debris and you’re done

It really doesn’t take too much to realize that Hollywood has long run out of ideas, with some notable exceptions. Even posters look alike these days – you probably have no idea how much.

Justin LeDuc has created a collage just to show you how much big movie studios rely on basically the same imagery to sell you on a new flick.

Basically, what you need to create a “good” movie poster these days is a hero, in whose hands you place a weapon, it can be anything, it doesn’t even matter.

Add a cloudy background, flying sparks and debris and you’re there, you’ve got yourself a “new” poster. You wouldn’t even believe how many movies have used this “poster recipe” already.
