“Long hair don’t care,” Queen of Pop says, but it’s fake

Madonna is causing quite a ruckus online right now after posting on Instagram a photo of herself apparently showing off her very long armpit hair. She captioned it “long hair don’t care,” tagging it with the hashtags #artforfreedom #rebelheart and #revolutionoflove.

You can see the pic above, just click for the full version. The Queen of Pop is wearing a bra and a bow-tie, and she’s obviously had her hair and makeup professionally done.

However, before you react one way or another to the photo, you should probably have a closer look at it because it’s obviously been tampered with: the arm and armpit she holds up are smoother and lighter in color than the rest of her body, and the bush is applied in an image editing program, without a doubt.

So Madonna isn’t really showing off her armpit hair online, she’s just saying that, if she wanted to grow it out and show it to the world, she would. And it’s in her right to do that, if she wanted.

Even though the photo is so obviously photoshopped, not many picked up on it. In fact, even some of Madonna’s followers rushed to call her a disgusting (old) woman whose attention seeking ways had finally disgusted them thoroughly and whom they planned to unfollow ASAP.

But Madonna had probably anticipated that with the “don’t care” part of her comment.
