14 DAY TRIAL // For the first time since Cory Monteith’s death, girlfriend Lea Michele is speaking out on the topic (as in, speaking out herself, not through her publicist). She’s also shared the photo above with her Twitter followers.
“Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart,” the heartbroken actress writes on her Twitter feed, in a post accompanying what looks like a selfie.
Monteith, who starred with Lea on Fox’s hit musical series “Glee,” died earlier this month in his hotel room in Canada, of a heroin and alcohol overdose.
He had always been very open about his history with drug abuse but was determined to get better, having just completed a 30-day rehab program earlier this year.
Lea had stood by him through thick and thin, and is said to have been a very positive influence in his life.
