So Justin Bieber’s week ended with an arrest in Miami for DUI, drag racing, driving on a suspended license and resisting arrest without violence. When he walked out of jail, he stopped to wave to the fans like a star that he was – and one of the photos snapped on the occasion is now perfect to fuel his martyr complex.

The photo above was posted on Bieber’s Instagram account with the caption “What more can they say ♛.”

Next to Justin’s pic is an image of Michael Jackson, the late King of Pop, snapped as he walked out from one of his child abuse trials.

Now, the way I see this, Justin isn’t just calling himself a king, he’s also saying he’s being victimized because he’s famous just like it happened to Michael, who was falsely accused of inappropriate behavior around minors, accusations that ruined his life and peace of mind.

So Justin isn’t just saying he’s as talented or as popular as Michael (which he did do a couple of times), but he’s actually suggesting that the world (or the police) is out to get him solely because he’s so famous.

That alone infuriates me, and I know I’m not alone in that. Bieber is not a victim because he was the one who chose to drink, smoke weed, take prescription pills and then get behind the wheel to engage in illegal racing down the streets of Miami. No one pinned that on him (sweet innocent him), he did it all by himself.

Even suggesting otherwise, like he does with this pic, is offensive for anyone with any common sense. If he really wants to be taken seriously as a man, how about actually growing up and accepting responsibility for his own mistakes? We all make them, so he shouldn’t be that ashamed to say he does too.

It might even make him even more popular if he became more relatable.

Feel free to contradict me in the comments section below, I’d love to hear back from you on this.
