“Breaking Bad” ended in blood, but you haven’t seen anything yet if you’re not watching Fox29 with Joyce Evans. The veteran Fox29 anchor linked the series finale with a shooting in Philadelphia on Twitter and, of course, the Internet isn’t about to let her get away with it.

“Thought ‘Breaking Bad’ was hot last Sunday? @FOX29philly See who's breakin' bad in SW Philly leavin' 6 people SHOT - Tonite at Ten!,” Evans tweeted.

She was referring to an incident outside a deli in Philadelphia, in which 6 people were shot, 1 of whom actually died later. It was clearly no joking matter.

As Twitter reacted to her poorly timed message and the totally-uncalled-for parallel, Evans tried to defend herself, explaining that she was only trying to say that, in this particular case, life trumped a scripted TV series.

“Last tweet NOT [AT] ALL A JOKE. Very real life drama was the point as oppose to one that end on tv. That was my point,” she said.

Not many bought what she was selling, and they made sure she heard all about it on the same social networking website.
