Reportedly leaked on a Korean forum that requires users to have a subscription, the alleged iPad 3 display in the above photo is said to be a Retina panel.

With the tablet’s launch drawing closer, various parts have begun floating around in pictures, though none of these leaks have been substantiated so far.

The photo does shows a few differences between the two display units, namely 3 wide ribbon cables on the alleged iPad 3 screen that might be used for data, according to MacRumors.

The tablet is expected to have a high-resolution display capable of outputting graphics at 2048x1536 resolution - four times the pixel count of the current iPad generation. As such, it makes sense to require additional data bandwidth, which is what those cables seem to indicate.
