14 DAY TRIAL // Reps at Mrs. Baird's are addressing "a pretty bizarre claim" by a Redditor who has posted a photo of a snake baked into bread produced by the bakery.
This thread has been up voted over 12,000 times on the sharing site during the last three days.
"My Aunt Found A Whole Snake In A Loaf Of Bread,” the caption to user humanimalcracker's post reads.
"These kind of claims are virtually never true. [...] This isn't something where you'd look at it and say, 'Yeah, this could have happened,'" a spokesperson for the company tells Huffington Post.
The rather gross black residue on the bread is being described as a snake baked inside it, but company reps insist that it is simply burnt left-over dough and demand a sample for further investigation.
