PictureCode has released today a new version of the popular Photo Ninjar RAW image converter software that brings support for a few new mirrorless and DSLR cameras and also fixes a few bugs introduced in the previous versions.

First of all, the new Photo Ninja v1.2.2 now supports developing RAW files shot using FujiFilm X-T1, Sony A7/A7R, and Olympus E-M1 mirrorless models, as well as RAW images taken with Pentax K-3, Nikon DF, Nikon D610, and Canon 70D DSLRs, which adds to the already extensive list of supported digital cameras from all important manufacturers on the market.

Besides new camera support, the latest Photo Ninja build also fixes a few bugs that were encountered when using various camera models. For example, the highlight clip point issue that occurred with Canon 6D RAW files shot at high ISO values is now fixed.

Sony NEX-5 and SLT-A99 RAW processing also received a few fixes that remove black points (NEX-5) and trimming (SLT-A99), improving the overall reliability of the software.

If you were experiencing issues when trying to save Photo Ninja settings in JPEGs that were modified by another editor, you should know that this bug is now repaired in the new program build.

Other bugs squashed in Photo Ninja v1.2.2 include a possible hang when using noise or sharpening filters and a bug that affected the upgrade period in the license dialog.

Those of you who own Fujifilm X-Trans cameras should also know that PictureCode is also offering for download a pre-release version of Photo Ninja, which adds highlight recovery for Fujifilm camera models that come equipped with an X-Trans image sensor.
