14 DAY TRIAL // It’s been over 2 months since the rumor broke that Leonardo DiCaprio, aka Hollywood’s hottest bachelor and one of its biggest players too, had started seeing pop star Rihanna. Apparently, they had been hooking up in secret for a very long time, but it was nothing serious. Yet.
Later reports claimed that she was infatuated with him because he was her childhood crush, and even that she was pressuring him into getting in shape, because stepping out with a man with a beer gut wasn’t good for her image.
Until now, none of these reports was backed by a single shred of evidence to prove that they even knew each other.
First photo emerges, was snapped at her birthday party
Rumors of random pairings in showbiz are a dime a dozen these days, and the quicker they go out of circulation, the easier to conclude they were not accurate. The Rihanna and Leo rumor has been making the rounds for a rather long time, so that alone could mean that there isn’t smoke without fire, as the saying goes.
The fact that some PR-sanctioned outlets, like People magazine, have confirmed the romance with unnamed insiders is also an argument in favor of it.
TMZ obtained the first photo of Leo and Rihanna together, snapped at her birthday party, which, apparently, he helped organize. The photo isn’t telling in the sense of showing them kissing or even holding hands, but at least it confirms that they at least know each other - and more importantly, that they hang in the same circles.
Hookup is more serious than previously reported, maybe
Then there’s this: the same celebrity publication claims to have it on good authority (i.e. eyewitnesses at the party) that Leo and Rihanna aren’t just casually hooking up, “no strings attached,” as it was previously reported.
In fact, they’re getting quite serious and might even be on the point of going public as a couple. We can tell you one thing for sure: if they do do that, celebrity pundits will love the new couple.
“Rihanna’s the clingy one,” TMZ claims. “We’re told Leo is affectionate enough - they engaged in plenty of PDA - but he could barely get a moment to himself.” Apparently, at this party, Rihanna kept “following him everywhere” like a lovesick puppy.
The same insiders reveal that they started seeing each other about 3 months ago, but they’re yet to talk about going exclusive. Rihanna seems to want to move forward, but we’ll see if DiCaprio is on the same page as her.
