Phoronix Test Suite, the most comprehensive benchmarking and testing platform available for Linux and designed to carry out qualitative and quantitative benchmarks in a clean and easy-to-use manner, has now reached version 3.6.
The final and stable version of Phoronix Test Suite 3.6, dubbed Arendal, is now available for download, after four milestones.
Among the most important features we can mention support for Solaris and BSD systems, support for ClearOS Core Server, graphing improvements, better OpenBenchmarking.org integration, an expanded Phoronix Device Interface, and some small enhancements for DragonflyBSD 2.10.
According to Michael Larabel, Phoronix Test Suite 3.6 Arendal will be succeeded by Phoronix Test Suite 3.8 (Bygland), in 2012.
