On Thursday, Phone.com, which provides small businesses and professionals with innovative and affordable phone services, announced the launch of two mobile applications that enable access to the Phone.com Virtual Office service from the iPhone and Android-based devices. The two software solutions, Phone.com Mobile Office and Phone.com Mobile VoIP, can be downloaded for free on Android or iPhone devices, respectively.

Phone.com Mobile Office is being launched as the first application that expands the office phone capabilities of Android-based handsets, the company notes. The software solution provides users with the possibility to make and receive calls or text messages, manage Phone.com account voicemail, enjoy low international calling rates, click and connect to private conference call bridge, view received faxes, and more.

Phone.com Mobile VoIP come to Apple's iPhone with appealing features too, including the possibility to place VoIP-based calls via a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection via the Phone.com Virtual Office account. According to the company, users would be able to “dial from an iPhone as if it is an extension of their Phone.com account,” as well as to bypass phone providers by making calls via Wi-Fi or 3G data connections.

“We surveyed our customers to discover what they are looking for in a mobile app, and more than 65 percent told us that they’d like to mask their mobile phone number and use their Phone.com virtual phone number from their mobile devices. This capability took priority over saving mobile phone minutes or roaming charges,” said Ari Rabban, Phone.com CEO. “We are pleased to offer this capability and continue to offer our customers comprehensive virtual office communications, enabling them to present a professional image while they optimize their time, wherever they are. Such services were only available to executives at large corporations but now we are happy to bring them to businesses of any size, at a remarkably affordable price.”

As stated above, Phone.com Mobile Office is available as a free download for Android devices and can be found over in the Android Market. The app can be used with any Phone.com plan starting at $4.88 per month. Phone.com Mobile VoIP is available via the App Store and can be used with any Phone.com Virtual Office plan, starting at $9.88 per month.

Both Serviced and virtual offices are on the rise. The fact you can run a virtual office from your phone is proof, anyhow It makes sense to eliminate(virtual office) uneccessary overheads, especially as a start-up, or at the very least reduce(serviced them) them…
