Phone Sherpa announced the launch of its Mobile Store, a product aimed to help musicians and artists sell their unique content from their own website or blog page to millions of mobile phones owners in the US and worldwide.

The Phone Sherpa Mobile Store is a complete solution for the marketing and promotion of music and art as ringtones and wallpapers. The artist creates a store, uploads his content and embeds the Flash store component on their website.
These steps take about fifteen minutes to complete. The Mobile Store can be customized to match the artist's site layout and colors.

"Artists not signed by a major label typically have no access to the mobile marketplace. Phone Sherpa opens the mobile industry to everyone by providing artists with complete control over promotion, pricing, and distribution of their content into the mobile channel," said Grady Leno, CEO of Phone Sherpa.

"Ringtones and wallpapers are a critical component of any music marketing plan. There is no more effective way to reach the highly influential 16- to 29-year-old demographic," declared David Meinert, manager of rock band The Presidents of the United States of America, and popular Seattle hip-hop group The Blue Scholars.

The Mobile Store provides a secure transaction environment even on a social network or blog page, allowing users to make purchases without leaving the page. The Phone Sherpa back-end handles all aspects of the Mobile Store content delivery and billing. By matching the ringtone file format to the phone model "on-the-fly," Phone Sherpa serves content to nearly one thousand mobile phone models on carrier networks in the United States and over one hundred and thirty countries worldwide. The Phone Sherpa Mobile Store can be accessed HERE.
