Vodafone customers are targeted with fake bill-related emails. Cybercriminals are sending out these messages in hopes that they can trick users into handing over their personal information on a fake Vodafone website.

The emails identified by Hoax Slayer carry the subject line “Check your bill online” and they read something like this:

“Dear Customer, Just to let you know, your monthly bill's are ready for you to view online at my (Vodafone online account) and you can click on the link below to view your bills. Check your bill now.”

Those who click on the links are taken to a bogus Vodafone login page where they’re instructed to enter their account type, username and password. Then, victims are directed to the genuine Vodafone website.

In case you come across these emails, delete them. If you’re a victim, change your Vodafone account password, or all your passwords if you’re using the same one for multiple online accounts.
