Shady emails apparently coming from Apple inform recipients that their accounts have been temporarily locked because of an unauthorized login attempt.

“Your Apple ID has been temporarily Locked! We detect unauthorized Login Attempts to your Apple ID from other IP Address. Please re-confirm your identity today or your account will be Locked due to concerns we have for the safety and integrity of the Apple Community,” the emails read.

In order to unlock their accounts, victims are urged to visit a website and enter their personal details to confirm their identities.

We advise Apple customers to be on the lookout for such emails. Keep in mind that legitimate emails would probably not contain random words written with capital letters (e.g. “Locked”) and they would not come from addresses such as noreply@[something]-apple.com.
