A “revolutionary” new product from Apple is to be announced / released within a matter of months, according to famous French designer Phillippe Starck, who has worked with Apple and Steve Jobs for years.

The internationally-renowned designer is one of the few lucky people to have spent time with the late Apple co-founder, Steve Jobs, on a regular basis.

Starck is known to have visited Jobs at his Palo Alto home in California on a number of occasions, and he continues to meet with Jobs’ widow, Laurene Powell, whenever he’s in California.

In a radio interview with France Info, Starck responded to a question stating, "Indeed, there is a big project together which will be out in eight months," adding that the new project is “quite revolutionary.”

There is no reason to believe Starck was making all this up, nor is it too far-fetched to see this “revolutionary” product unveiled, with all the rumors surrounding Apple’s upcoming, full-fledged television product.

In his interviews with biographer Walter Isaacson, the late Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs revealed that he had been working on and downright “cracked” the secret to achieving an integrated television set that would have the simplest user interface imaginable.

Whatever happens, Starck’s statement has officially revitalized all the iTV rumors.

Two of Starck's most famous designs include stylized toothbrushes (cca 1989) and a sleek juicer dubbed the Juicy Salif created for Alessi in the ‘90s.

In 2004, Starck designed the first toothbrush sanitizer for VIOlight, a New York company that won the 2005 Industrial Design Excellence Award.

Later in his career, years after the first Apple iPods came out, the French designer helped create the the Zikmu Parrot wireless speakers for the iPod and iPhone, and he now has a line of Starck watches with Fossil, Inc., according to Wikipedia.
