Philips has really come up with a wealth of new and interesting products at its 2011 lineup showcasing event from Barcelona, Spain, one of the newly-released items also being the Wi-Fi Multiroom Hi-Fi System.

First and foremost, it's interesting to note that this audio system's name is pretty self-explanatory, allowing possible customers to know beforehand what they can expect from this high-end audio solution.

So, the new audio solution enables users to listen to the same songs pretty much wherever they might happen to be at any given moment around their house, and even when moving from one room to the next, due to the built-in Wi-Fi systems.

And since we're on this topic, it's also interesting to mention that the audio content being streamed can be produced by a wide variety of sources, whether we're talking about music stored onto the user's own computers (or external HDDs), Internet radio stations, online music subscription services, etc.

Furthermore, the system even allows iOS devices or Android smartphones to act as remote controls, via a dedicated app available for free, thus providing an even higher level of versatility, given the fact that, after all, these are the types of devices that never leave the users' side these days.

Additionally, Philips' audio system leverages the high-fidelity audio enabled by ClariSound speakers, that come equipped with a soft-dome tweeter placed at the top of the speaker box, as well as a glass fiber woofer cone and a front-firing bass port.

Unfortunately, Philips has not been particularly keen on revealing the pricing and availability details for its Wi-Fi Multiroom Hi-Fi System, but given the fact that we're talking about a latest-generation home entertainment system designed to provide users with a very interesting and comprehensive music-listening experience, it's quite likely that it won't really come cheap, all things considered.
