Mobile phone manufacturer Philips is introducing a new handset especially designed for the ladies, the

It comes with various pre-loaded applications that are meant to make women's lives easier and brighter; it includes a diary, calendar, buying list, discounts manager, price table, personal card information, body weight index and a basal metabolic rate measurement.

Basically all of the features that only female users would appreciate and use. The mobile phone comes with GSM tri-band 900/1800/1900 Mhz support a 1.8 inch 262k color screen with a 176 x 220 pixel resolution and an external monochrome OLED display.

Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera for taking snapshots at any time, 128 MB of built-in memory and a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion with support for up to 1GB cards if the internal memory is not enough, Wap browser, SMS, MMS, built-in Java games, IrDA, USB and Bluetooth for connectivity.

Its design is quite stylish and appealing, which is to be expected since it's a phone for the ladies. It measures 83 x 43 x 20 mm and weighs 82 grams, being light enough to be easily carried around in a pocket or purse. More than a ladies' phone, the Philips 598 will be very convenient as a music handset and also features external music dedicated controls.

Although the complete spec list has been provided, there is no information on where people that like this mobile phone will be able to get one, or for what price. But more info should be made available soon.
