Philips has announced the launching of three new models of portable DVD players fitted with wide, high resolution displays, whose dimensions range from 7 to 10.2 inches.
The PET710, PET810 and PET1000 are the latest additions to the PET line-up, which also consists of the 700 and 800 models, which
have smaller displays.
PET1000 offers a display which has impressive dimensions for a portable device: 10 inch. Pet 810 has a smaller, 8 inch, display and both players are DivX and MPEG4 compatible. The most compact model announced by Philips is PET 710, which is fitted with a 7 inch display.
All players are compatible with the majority of DVD formats (DVD+R/RW,(S)VCD) and they are also able to play Video CDs, MP3 CDs and rewritable discs.
The models also have two connectors for headphones, which allow two users to view a movie or to listen to music simultaneously.
The price for PET710 starts at £149, the PET810 will have a price of £199 and the PET1000 will cost £349.
