Philips' Cinema 21:9 series of HDTVs has really managed to make a name for itself ever since its official launch, and for this reason, the company has decided to add some new models to the lineup, unveiling the Cinema 21:9 Gold Series Smart LED TVs.

Since, after all, 3D is one of the hottest trends in technology right now, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Philips also implemented 3D technology in their new Cinema 21:1 Gold Series, the HDTVs featuring a 3D polarized screen, combined with passive 3D glasses.

Moreover, in order to keep up with its major competitors in this specific market segment, Philips has also implemented a real-time 2D to 3D conversion system into its 3D TV solutions, thus helping them deliver an interesting 3D experience even in the absence of native 3D content.

Another interesting and innovative feature provided by the new Cinema 21:9 Gold Series is called Multiview, and allows users to actually view multiple content sources at the some time on the same screen, taking advantage of the device's ultra-wide screen.

As its name suggests, the new HDTV from Philips also offers fast and easy access to multiple Internet content sources, especially since it packs a built-in Wi-Fi module.

Plus, an USB recording function has also been added, allowing users to save video content on USB devices attached to their TVs.

Additional interesting features worth mentioning here include the Edge Full HD LED system, 100Hz panel frequency and the Pixel Precise HD picture processing engine, not to mention the two-sided Ambilight Spectra 2 solution, that helps blur the lines between the surrounding environment and the TV itself.

For the time being, Philips has not provided any pricing and availability details for their Cinema 21:9 Gold Series Smart LED TVs, but given their features, it's safe to say that they won't come cheap at all.
