The watch will allow users to collect valid and accurate data in a simple fashion

Smartwatches are becoming increasingly intelligent, but a scientifically-valid wearable system might as well be the peak of the wave.

Philips has recently introduced the new Actiwatch Spectrum Plus, a gizmo capable of monitoring everything from your sleep-waking cycle to light-exposure levels.

Apparently, the watch is smart enough to detect when it's worn and in case users have forgot about it and left it in the drawer, this little piece of technology will draw attention upon itself by blurting out audible reminders.

The sensor is capable of performing quite a comprehensive assessment of the environment by detecting for example the color composition of light (records photopic light and light, red, green and blue).

On top of that, users will notice a dedicated button which allows them to mark a certain event, like leaving the workplace.

The Actiwatch bundles a data recording feat and USB connectivity so users can quickly charge it. So far there’s no information about how much this watch is cost or when it arrives on the market.
