A Philadelphia brewery has decided to celebrate the season finale of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” in style by releasing a zombie-friendly brew made with a special ingredient – smoked goat brains.

Dock Street Brewing Company has named its new beer Dock Street Walker and will debut it this Sunday, March 30, before the grand finale of the highly popular TV series.

The beverage is made of malted wheat, oats, flaked barley and organic cranberries, which provide it a bloody-red tint and a little bit of tartness. Its zombie-inspired nature is also highlighted by the fact that real brains were used as an ingredient.

“The pre-sparge-brain-addition provides this beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don’t be surprised if its head doesn’t hang around forever,” the brewery says on its website.

The Dock Street Walker is an American pale stout with 7.2 percent alcohol content and is advertised as “quite possibly the smartest beer you’ll ever drink.”

While some may find the idea of brewing a beer with brains kind of gross, the brewery defends its choice of ingredients saying that brains are considered to be a delicacy in many parts of the world.

Moreover, weird beer varieties were created in the past and they were quite successful. A while back, Wynkoop Brewing Company from Denver released the Rocky Mountain Oyster Stout, which was brewed with roasted bull testicles.
