The “Duck Dynasty” star stirs new controversy when 2009 video surfaces

Phil Robertson is still continuing his trail of controversy, right into 2014, after the end of 2013 saw him ignite one of America's biggest debates on gay rights and freedom of speech. In an old video from back in 2009 that has just hit the web, the Duck Dynasty patriarch can be heard stirring up even more dust as he advises men to marry 15-year-old girls.

The video was shot at a Christian retreat in Georgia, where Phil was talking about the Bible and hunting, of course.

When it came to offer the Georgia men marriage advice, Phil had this to say “Make sure she can cook a meal. You need to eat some meals that she cooks, check that out. Make sure that she carries her Bible. That'll save you a lot of trouble down the road … You got to marry these girls when they are about 15 or 16. They'll pick your ducks.”

Phil has just come to an agreement with A&E to get back on the hit show Duck Dynasty, after he was taken off following his inflammatory interview with GQ Magazine where he went off on gay people. The network briefly suspended him from the show, but was forced to reinstate him after fans of the series put pressure on the management.

Now Phil and his religious views are raising even more eyebrows when his "river rat counseling" video hits the internet and takes marriage back to the Middle Ages.
