It seems that this may truly be the end of TeaMp0isoN

While snooping around on a Russian IRC channel, we came across something interesting. Users were saying that last night, at around 3 AM UTC +4, Saint Petersburg police arrested a 28-year-old man.

Some of the participants in the conversation claimed that the individual detained by Russian authorities was actually Phantom, one of the members of the TeaMp0isoN crew.

This would not be surprising at all, especially since authorities started closing in on the hacktivist collective.

Also, during the numerous interviews we’ve had with Phantom, he admitted that he feared being caught by Russian authorities, who apparently don’t take kindly to hackers.

If he was indeed caught, he may have to answer for his implication in the MI6 incident, along with other hundreds of operations he performed both on his own and with the group.

In April, the leader of the group, TriCk, was arrested, and yesterday the Metropolitan Police managed to apprehend MLT, another member of TeaMp0isoN.

So, maybe we were right when we said this morning that this might be the end of TeaMp0isoN.

We are currently trying to confirm this and we'll update the post as soon as new information becomes available.
