Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced the upcoming availability of a new flavor of its HTC Legend smartphone, one that would be dressed up all in black.

According to the company, the new phantom black version of the HTC Legend is expected to become available for purchase on the market in Europe starting with October this year, and should be put on sale via wireless carriers on the old continent.

HTC also notes that the new color version should makes its popular HTC Legend more appealing than before, and that it would be accompanied by a white flavor of HTC Desire.

The white Desire was already spotted into the wild before in the UK, where it would be complemented by the availability of a silver HTC Wildfire, both put on sale via online retailers.

The new phantom black HTC Legend maintains the popular form factor and style the device came to shelves with, including the smooth, continuous surface, built from a single aluminum block to create a seamless compact frame.

“We are always looking for ways to broaden the customer's mobile experience,” said Florian Seiche, President of HTC Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“We understand that our customers love to express themselves, whether it is through their music, fashion or their mobile phone. We work hard to provide a strong portfolio of mobile phones, to give our customers the variety and choice in terms of experience, look and feel, that they crave.

“There has been a real passion for these phones since they launched. The phantom black HTC Legend and brilliant white Desire cap a quality mobile experience with an exclusive and premium finish.”

This is the first time the company launches the HTC Desire in a brilliant white color flavor, offering an impressive new look for a device already highly popular all around the world.

The white HTC Desire is set to land on various wireless carriers in Europe in October too.
