It’s “still hot and fresh out the kitchen” but it also reflects how America has changed

R. Kelly’s “Ignition (Remix)” could be the next National Anthem of the United States or, at least, it would be if the creator of a new petition on the White House official page had his or her say.

Check out the track above, assuming you don’t know it.

You will notice that it’s “still hot and fresh out the kitchen” a decade after the official release, while also reflecting how America has changed in recent years.

Hence, says the petition, it would be the perfect National Anthem. Seriously.

“America has changed since Francis Scott Key penned our current anthem in 1814. Since then, we have realized that after the show, it's the afterparty, and that after the party, it's the hotel lobby, and – perhaps most importantly – that ‘round about four, you've got to clear the lobby, at which point it's strongly recommended that you take it to the room and freak somebody,” the petition says.

“President Obama: we ask you to recognize the evolution of this beautiful country and give us an anthem that better suits the glorious nation we have become,” it adds.

So far, the petition has only about 4,400 signatures and still needs over 95,000 to even be acknowledged / considered.
