Pete Doherty recounted the incident with some Drug Lords, when he stole the mugs car with $365,000. He was quickly tracked down and dangled from the top of a building.

Pete recalls, "They hung me upside down off a balcony and shook me."
"They had one foot each and I was just dangling - it was so, so frightening. I never want to be in that position again."

Doherty adds, "God knows, Kate saved my life and I really had to choose. "She's got a young kid and there's no way it could happen with drugs.

"Drugs are a very selfish thing. It goes against a lot of the central tenets of the things I have always claimed to believe in."
