Well, if The Babyshambles would ever run out of gigs or if the reported offer that was made to the frontman Pete Doherty to create his own line of designer clothes should fall trough, it's good to know that he has something as backup. And it's a very serious job, this time.
Various media outlets inform that the rocker, famous for his drug addictions and for the many, many hours he uselessly (until now) spent in multiple rehabilitation clinics as well as for his brush-offs with the law, is now being called back to the last facility he 'visited'. But he won't be going back as a mere patient: he is being asked to return as counselor.
Doherty left rehab last Monday, accompanied by his model girlfriend Kate Moss and, immediately after the concert he held the very next day, he told the press: 'Any time off I have I'll go back to The Priory to see my doctors and the residents, some of whom have become really good friends'.
According to a source quoted by Britain's 'Daily Mail', maybe the rocker will go there more often and on a more 'official' visit. The insider claims that the doctors have asked the star to return and to talk to patients about addiction and about learning to accept the fact that they do have a problem. He will also hold some counseling sessions with the patients, it seems.
'Pete was particularly impressive at his group therapy sessions. He acknowledged right away he was addicted to drugs and he never had a problem talking about how his addiction affected his daily life. That made him stand out from other patients who often won't even admit they have a problem', the source from the clinic explained.
The rocker's publicist refused to make any comment, when contacted over the phone.
