Just released from a rehabilitation program, Doherty is back again in big style. He just signed a book deal that will allow him to publish his early beginning as a rock artist in his first band, The Libertines, and his struggle with drug addiction and brief but steamy relationship with 1st class supermodel Kate Moss. Plus many of his poems.

Orion Publishing Group showed much interest in the 27 year old rocker's memoirs but he failed to respond accordingly. The deal was supposed to be celebrated with a big party at the Bungaloo pub in London, where Doherty was to read first-hand some of his earlier verses, if only he had attended it.

Maybe he was 'cruising' in other places we don't know of...
