Babyshambles Pete Doherty launched a new website, named 'Bala Chadha', which give the fans an insight into his private life.

Balachadha.com was conceived by his friend and literary agent Paul Roundhill, 26, and means "top blonde" or "good white", a slang for crack cocaine. The site presents extracts of the troubled singer's poetry as well as intimate footage which can be downloaded after a subscription fee.

Roundhill told The Guardian: "I felt (Pete) had multimedia potential and he would break the mould, dismantling the barriers between the band and the audience.

"The potential for him to work in different media is immense but it also is necessary for him to keep control. This site is making a statement. It's a way for Peter to be in control of all the different aspects of his work."
