Only days after his release from a Portuguese rehabilitation clinic, where he admitted himself in an attempt to get rid of the cocaine and tranquillizers addiction, Doherty is caught again with his hands in the cookie jar.
'Babyshambles' frontman and Kate Moss's ex, Pete Doherty caused only problems during his stay in Sweden, on the occasion of the Hultsfred Music Festival, that ended with his arrest on Friday.
Apparently, even from his arrival at the airport, he acted 'bizarre' (according to an unnamed eyewitness) and gave the finger to everyone present, when they tried to take his picture.
Later on, during the band's performance on the stage (one hour later than scheduled), it was obvious from the rocker's behavior that he was either drunk or 'high up in the clouds'. Nobody thought of intervening until Doherty fell (or jumped, the reports vary) off the stage, amidst the crowd and severely harming a girl that also fell to the floor and cut herself in the pieces of broken glass.
The police arrived at the scene and escorted the band out, downtown to be more precise. After the tests, it was shown that there were traces of cocaine and tranquillizers in his blood (and in another fellow rocker's), but the inspecting officers couldn't find drugs on his person. Therefore, Doherty was fined $1,000 (and some change) and then released. He left by cab and was finally checked into a hotel.
It's a good thing that the rehabilitation program has worked out just fine for him...
