Pete Doherty Breaks Up With Irina Lazareanu - Wants Kate Back

Pete Doherty has either completely come to his senses or finally found a drug he can take and that doesn't show up on blood tests. The fact is, his much-hyped road to recovery, which included him keeping off the drugs and starting over a new life with Romanian-born model Irina Lazareanu, seems to have ended abruptly - or at least the part about the "new life" did. Doherty has reportedly ended his romance with fiancée Irina and is said to be determined to get Kate Moss back.

Beware, all you innocents out there, the Doherty is back, alive and kicking and just as delusional as we remember him to be. The Babyshambles front man (who recently completed a six-week rehab stint for drug addiction and is said to be clean for now) had a blazing row with the Romanian model on Monday night, which reportedly happened because he had grown tired of her constantly following him around. Well, that sounds just like Doherty - nice, sweet and compassionate. He seems to forget, though, that he is the one who had an affair with his ex-lover's friend, so it is in one way ironic to hear that he is the one feeling all suffocated.

"Irina has been following him around like a bad smell since the moment she caught his eye. He got engaged in a moment of madness when he was off his head before he checked into rehab and has been questioning his sanity ever since" says a source. "She was always telling Pete what to do and where to go, and in the end he had to tell her it was over. Everyone's happy she's gone - it wasn't doing anything for band relations".

Yes, of course, blame it on the supermodel. The fact is, I suspect Doherty is back in his "I want Kate back" mode, which has been some sort of post-Kate-breakup permanent condition for him. But they should really run some more tests on him, I'm sure he must be on something. He has now been telling friends he wants to woo ex-lover Kate Moss back, despite the fact that Moss has been involved in an increasingly serious relationship with The Kills star Jamie Hince.

Friends of both Moss and Doherty claim that Kate is still in love with Pete, to whom she told at one point she is "miserable without him and desperately happy with him". But those were the good old days, Pete, get a grip and let it go. I'd hate to think Moss will ever get back with this drugged-out loony, but who knows? Stranger things have happened.
