Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty was busted Friday on the Oslo airport for carrying drugs. Doherty and another man were held for four hours on the airport, for identification and full body search.
"Pete was given a thorough search by officers," a source told The Sun. "He looked fairly wide-eyed by the time they have finished.
He got the full rubber glove treatment. They made sure there was absolutely no trace of drugs before they let him go."
An Oslo police officer, Harold Holmsen said: "I can confirm two British citizens were stopped by the customs on Friday at around 4pm."
He added: "One of them had 1.7g of coke, the other had 1.5g of heroin. They both received 8,000 krone (700 pounds) fines and were released several hours later. It will not go to court as they accepted their fines but it will be registered as a criminal offence in Norway."
As a result, Pete Doherty missed the 5pm main stage slot at the Oya festival in front of 8,000 people. Eventually, the band played on a smaller stage, with a capacity of around 4,000, around 10.30 pm.
